Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Honors Orchestra is an all-county performance honors group for string players. Students must pass a rigorous audition to be accepted into the group, including scales, prepared solo, and sight-reading. If selected for the group, students will then attend one evening of rehearsal in January, followed by a two-day intensive clinic event. Upon selection, students must agree to attend the January rehearsal as well as the full clinic weekend or else forfeit participation.
Middle School has two performance groups, Repertory and Honors Groups. High School is currently one performing group. More specific details regarding the rehearsal and clinic will be sent home with your student if he/she makes the group.

Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020 Rehearsal at Northwest School of the Arts (HS reh. 5:30-7:00 PM/MS reh. 7:00-8:30 PM)
Friday-Saturday, Feb. 7-8, 2020 Clinic at Waddell Language Academy (All day Friday and Saturday, some parent transport required)
